4 & 5 Peaks, Charity
& Corporate Event Guiding

An ascent of Irelands highest mountain is a hugely attractive, fulfilling and rewarding way of group bonding or raising vital funds for your worthy organisation and we have many years of experience in guiding such charity events!

The 4 peaks challenge is generally classed as climbing the highest peaks in each of the four provinces of Ireland, namely : Carrauntoohil at 1040m of county Kerry – the highest peak in the southern province of Munster, Mweelrea at 841m of county Mayo – the highest peak in the western province of Connacht, Slieve Donard at 840m of county Down – the highest mountain in Northern Ireland and the province of Ulster and Lugnaquilla 925m of county Wicklow – the highest peak in the eastern province of Leinster.

The 5 peaks challenge is classed as climbing the highest peaks in the British Isles and Ireland, namely : Ireland – Carrauntoohil 1040m, England – Scafell Pike 978m, Scotland – Ben Nevis 1345m, Wales – Snowdon – 1085m and Northern Ireland – Slieve Donard – 840m.

Sam to the Summit

Charity climbing events are a brilliant way to fundraise and get the backing of your friends and family, as well as all the helpful advice and preparation support you may require from our experienced team. The best bit about charity climbs is they are extremely rewarding and lots of fun, and in the process you are raising money for your cause whilst also taking part in an amazing day of wild adventure.

You will find that we are extremely competitively priced and hence the maximum amount possible of all monies raised by each participant through sponsorship goes to the charity involved.

Safety, enjoyment and fun are our priority and we use a recommended guide to participant ratio of 1:12 for all groups and would be ascending by a Difficult grade route –  the most straightforward!  Of course any ascent of Ireland’s highest mountain is indeed a tough challenge requiring a good level of fitness enabling all the participants to be capable of hiking in rough rugged mountainous terrain for over 6 hours+.

We are the premier and leading guiding company for ascents of Ireland’s highest mountains and all of our guides are highly experienced, first aid qualified, fully insured and also most importantly – “great craic” so you would be in the very safest of hands while also having a challenging but enjoyable fun filled day.

The way these events usually work is that you as group organiser would organise the booking and collection of individuals fees, we then would provide the guides on the mountain for that day and the group organiser pays us in one transaction on the day (less deposit) depending on how many climb on the day. Prior to commencing the climb all participants would be checked in and given a full safety brief for the day ahead.

On confirmation you would be sent a handy participant information pack which includes a detailed itinerary, recommended equipment list, along with plenty of training advice and tips to help you prepare for your big mountain adventure.

Our ascents begin from Cronin’s Yard which has ample secure parking, can arrange packed lunches, and have hot and cold refreshments and toilets/showers available.
