ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL LECTURE SERIES


Proceeds from our "Vertical Adventures" lecture series presented to CORK YOUTH CLIMBING CLUB!!!
We recently presented a cheque for €580 to this years benificiary of our Lecture Series - Cork Youth Climbing Club http://www.corkyouthclimbingclub.com/

























The primary role of the Cork Youth Climbing Club is to develop rock climbing in Co. Cork and to help develop and produce young climbers that can safely take part and enjoy the growing sport of outdoor rock climbing. Apart from meeting weekly in the Mardyke Arena Climbing Wall they partake in numerous trips both home and abroad. Remember that indoor climbing is only a means to an end, a tool we use to develop the necessary skills & fitness to climb outdoors. Participation in competitions such as the Youth Climbing Series is also a focal point each year in their efforts. To date the club has performed with distinction in all competitions.

We would like to say a BIG BIG thank you to ALL those who donated some fantastic prizes for the event raffles which helped raise even more cash!!!

KILLARNEY ADVENTURE RACE 2012


 



Well the day began extremely cold with low mists lifting by afternoon to give an absolutely beautiful sunny day which provided everyone involved with the most stunning views of the amazing Kerry scenery...We at KerryClimbing were tasked with providing the first aid response, safety and marshaling of all three mountain run stages of this years Helly Hansen Killarney Adventure Race - Strickeen,Torc and Mangerton and are glad to say we had little or no incidents what-so-ever on the day.

A MASSIVE MASSIVE congratulations to ALL the competitors who took part in this exciting and inspiring event...We are in awe of you all....WELL DONE !!! Also a massive congrats and well done to Ollie and all the Elite crew, to the Civil Defence and Ambulance Volunteers, to ALL the event marshals,sponsors and everybody who played a part in making this years race such a spectacular and safe one...Roll on KAR 2013!!
 




WE ARE NOW RUNNING OUR INTRO ROCK COURSES IN EAST CORK AS WELL AS KERRY !!!!


We have 2 day,1 day and evening (4hr) courses taking place in both locations over the summer.  These courses are suitable for beginners wanting to take their first steps in becoming a competent rock climber, novices wanting to further their skills and for groups of friends just looking to try something different!!!
